We regret to report the sudden passing of Retired Lee Police Chief Edward J. Finnegan.
Chief Finnegan served as a Police Officer in the Town of Lee from 1971 until 1977 before being appointed Chief of Police in Lee in 1977 serving in that position until 1994. During his time as Chief of Police in Lee, Chief Finnegan served as the President of the Western Mass Chiefs .
Funeral arraignments are as follows:
Calling hours will be Thursday July 14th from 4 pm to 7pm at the Kelly Funeral Home located at 3 Main Street in Lee, MA 01238.
Funeral will be Friday July 15th at 10am at St. Mary’s Church located at 140 Main Street.
A police procession will march from the Funeral home to the Church and cruisers will go from the church to the cemetery.
