Dr. Benjamin Stone

Dr. Benjamin Stone attended Exeter College of Oxford University through the United States Air Force Institute of Technology. He completed his PhD and related coursework for his medical doctorate and also coordinated research at the British Olympic Medical Institute, Oxford Nutraceuticals Group, and Cambridge University. Dr. Stone served as Assistant Professor of Exercise Physiology at the University of Central Arkansas, Sr. Tutor at Oxford University, and designed curriculums for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Stephen A. Taranto Jr., J.D.

Director of Training, Municipal Police Institute

Stephen has been in law enforcement for over 40 years. He is retired from a large metro-Boston area police department. He has also worked for a major Federal Law Enforcement agency and a major university. Stephen is retired from the military after a three-branch combination of active and reserve duty and his final 12 years was spent as a reserve Special Agent for the U.S. Army’s Criminal Investigation Division. He is an active and highly experienced instructor in academic, administrative, investigative, and tactical subjects. Stephen lectures and instructs nationally on law enforcement and security related subjects and is a graduate-level adjunct professor. Stephen has designed and collaborated on many training programs and academic curriculums. He has a LEEDA Trilogy Award and is a graduate of PERF’s Senior Management Institute for Police (Class #82). Stephen has a bachelor’s degree in Police Science and a JD from Massachusetts School of Law.

Eric Atstupenas

Attorney/Consultant
Eric Atstupenas presently serves as the General Counsel for the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association. He is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Eric comes from a law enforcement family and has a passion for the advancement of the law enforcement profession and those in it. He has spent his career immersing himself in all areas of the law which impact law enforcement professionals. He is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police — Legal Officers Section, associate member of the New England Association of Chiefs of Police and Central Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Municipal Police Institute, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to providing training to law enforcement in Massachusetts.
Eric is the author of several law enforcement training materials and has been published in the Police Chief magazine, a monthly publication by the International Association of Chiefs of Police. He has also provided training to law enforcement executives on a variety of topics germane to the profession and has appeared as a speaker at conferences across the country. Eric has also worked extensively with Daigle Law Group, LLC as a law enforcement consultant and trainer.
