POLICE SERGEANT
The Town of Truro Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Sergeant. The Sergeant is responsible for supervising officers and
civilian staff, which includes directing and performing patrol operations and general management of the daily activities of those under their command. The Sergeant
supports the effective and efficient daily operations of the department through leadership, mentorship and collaboration. They are responsible for evaluating
subordinates and ensuring that departmental policies, procedures, rules, regulations and general orders, as well as state laws and local bylaws are adhered
to. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. The salary range will be $74,048 – $80,142 DOQ.
Minimum qualifications for position: Five (5) years’ experience as a full-time police officer and ability to meet all MPTC requirements for this position prior to
appointment. Previous supervisory experience is preferred, but candidates with progressively more responsible experience, such as Field Training OfficerCertification or Instructor Certification may be considered.
