The Town of Hinsdale, NH is seeking a progressive, community-oriented Police Chief to lead this full-service police department of 8 FT officers and an Administrative Assistant that are supported by 3 PT officers and non-sworn staff with an operating budget of $1.4 mil. With approximately 4000 residents along the Connecticut River bordering Vermont and Massachusetts in South Western New Hampshire, Hinsdale is minutes from Brattleboro, 19 miles from Keene, NH and less than 100 miles from Boston, MA. The Town is governed by a 5-member Board of Selectmen, with an appointed Town Administrator. A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field; and ten years of progressively responsible policing experience, with at least three years of increasingly responsible command experience; or any equivalent combination of education and
experience is required. Salary range to high $70’s. Starting salary commensurate with qualifications. Excellent benefits.
