Full-Time Police Officer
Stowe Police Department is looking for a professional, community minded, ethical team player to join our department.
Stowe is a quintessential New England Community that is also a high-end four-season resort community. The Stowe Valley is located between the Green Mountain and Worcester Mountain Ranges. Stowe is known as the “Ski Capital of the East” and is an outdoor recreation mecca. Complementing the outdoor experience is a wide array of dining, shopping and numerous special events (e.g. balloon festival, car shows, craft shows). Stowe is in close proximity to Burlington, Vermont, and within a day’s drive to Boston & Montreal.
Applicants must be 21 years of age, possess a High School diploma or equivalent, and possess a valid Driver’s License. Applicant must be able to perform all the essential functions involved with police duties. Police testing, including a physical fitness examination, polygraph, oral board, written exam, medical exam, fingerprint check, and extensive background check will be required of applicant selected. Non-certified applicants will be required to attend VT Police Academy. Preference shall be given to certified officers. Starting pay depends on qualifications and experience.
