Subject: Tyre Nichols tragic death
The New England Association of Chiefs of Police offer our sincere condolences to the family, friends, and the community they reside in for the tragic death of Tyre Nichols.
The actions of those five (5) Memphis police officers were inexcusable, disgusting, and disrespected to the system of justice that they had sworn to uphold.
We support the full detailed investigation into this matter and holding them accountable for their actions through the judicial system.
We fully support and defend the Constitutional rights of those in our communities who want to peacefully speak up against such injustice.
The New England Association of Chiefs of Police are committed to engaging with our communities, keeping them safe, and holding ourselves to the highest standards of this profession.
