The Hampden Police Department is seeking candidates for a full-time police officer position. We offer a competitive wage/benefits package, excellent retirement options to include a 20-year plan through Maine PERS (1C) and opportunities for advancement and professional growth. There are several supervisory positions along with a school resource officer, investigator, and a Maine Drug Enforcement representative. We encourage and support specialized training to include DRE, MARC, and accident reconstruction.
The current pay range is $29.11 to $37.15. As of July 2025, the pay range is $30.57 to $39.01 plus COLA.
A lateral entry is available at the discretion of the Director of Public Safety.
