PLYMOUTH POLICE CHIEF MICHAEL BOTIERI REGRETS TO ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF RETIRED CHIEF OF POLICE GEORGE MADSEN WHO PASSED AWAY THIS PAST WEEK AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.
CHIEF MADSEN SERVED WITH THE PLYMOUTH POLICE DEPT FROM 1975 UNTIL HIS RETIREMENT IN 1992. HE SERVED THE DEPT IN MANY CAPACITIES OVER THE YEARS AS DETECTIVE SERGEANT, PROSECUTOR, CAPTAIN, AND ACTING CHIEF. FOLLOWING HIS RETIREMENT HE DID PROCESS SERVICE FOR THE PLYMOUTH COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPT WHILE OPERATING HIS OWN SECURITY SERVICE.
FUNERAL SERVICES FOR CHIEF MADSEN WILL BE FROM THE CARTMELL-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME AT 619 STATE RD IN MANOMET.
THE WAKE WILL BE FROM 6PM – 8PM ON WEDNESDAY JUNE 20, 2018.
THE FUNERAL WILL BE ON THURSDAY JUNE 21, 2018 AT 10AM AT THE SECOND CHURCH OF PLYMOUTH AT 518 STATE RD IN MANOMET, WITH BURIAL FOLLOWING AT THE SECOND CHURCH CEMETARY.
A LAW ENFORCEMENT WALK THROUGH WILL BE CONDUCTED ON WEDNESDAY JUNE 20TH AT 5:45PM AT THE CARTMENT-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME 619 STATE RD. STAGING WILL BE AT 5:30 AT THE MOOSE LODGE LOCATED NEXT DOOR TO THE FUNERAL HOME.
