The Rhode Island Capitol Police is currently recruiting to establish a hiring list. The application period runs until May 28, 2016. The job is open to active POST certified officers or officers who are eligible for Transitional POST Certification. Generally, the hiring list lasts about two or possible three years so officers who have not yet reached their retirement date but want to have some options open in the next couple of years, would be welcome to apply.
